Amvic is an industry leading manufacturer of Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) and Insulation products that consistently exemplify exceptional quality, superior strength and ease of installation.
Amvic Design Software (ADS) is an industry leading integrated engineering software for checking the structural adequacy of Amvic ICF walls, Lintels and the NEW AmDeck Floor & Roof SystemTM.The software is visually interactive and any changes or inputs made by the user are automatically reflected on a CAD drawing in real-time. The software also has built in text and graphic reports output for complete transparency on the analysis and design checks performed. ADS is the only software on the market which has these detailed calculation reports available.Benefits: ADS is an extremely useful tool for engineers and architects who need to streamline their design process and increase efficiency. It also functions as a precise estimating tool. ADS saves time, reduces your workload and most importantly, ensures accuracy.
Envirosheet is a high performance flat sheet rigid foam insulation made from BASF Expanded Polystyrene (EPS).Envirosheet Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam board applied over exterior walls eliminates thermal bridging, reduces air infiltration and provides a higher r-value. Various finishes including, stucco, siding, brick veneer and all other traditional exterior finishes can easily be used in combination with Amvic EPS insulation.
Amvic Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) are stay-in-place concrete forms for exterior walls. Amvic ICF features the unique reversible FormLockTM interlock system which has considerably deeper grooves than competing products which and walls greatly resist blow-outs and allows for internal vibration. Due to the powerful combination of Amvic's innovative block design and high quality production, Amvic ICF is the strongest on the market as proven by the Canadian Construction Material Center (CCMC) forming capacity strength test. Amvic products offer many benefits to homeowners including: energy efficiency, protection against natural disasters and extreme weather, sound resistance, high indoor air quality, greater comfort and contribution towards LEED certification.
SilveRboard is a high performance flat-sheet insulation material made from BASF® Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) which is coated with a layer of reflective lamination on both sides. This highly effective combination of materials offers a higher r-value per inch compared to traditional flat-sheet insulation as well as provides built-in moisture and air barriers which eliminate the need for house wrap.SilveRboard offers users a higher performance product which increases jobsite efficiency and reduces labor costs.
The AmDeck Floor & Roof System, is a modular, lightweight stay in place form used to construct concrete floors and roofs. The system provides structural strength through reinforced concrete and insulation through EPS. The system utilizes 10” inch lightweight steel framing studs to carry the temporary construction loads and act as furring strips for attachments. Shoring for AmDeck can be placed up to 20ft o/c, which is 4x less than for competing products. One-way concrete floor/roof joists formed with this system can easily span up to 40ft. AmDeck is an excellent complement for ICF construction, but can also be used easily in conjunction with other methods of construction.
Amvic AmDrain foundation insulation board is an EPS (expanded polystyrene) panel with one flat side and one side vertically grooved to provide both a drainage system and an exterior insulation, it is used as a supplementary component in all types of foundation building systems.
Amvic Geofoam is block or planar low-density rigid cellular foam made from Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) for geotechnical applications. Geofoam can be used for a variety of applications, including: Lightweight fill for construction on soft ground - Slope stabilization - Retaining wall or abutment backfill - Roadway/runway subgrade insulation - Road Embankments - Bridge construction
Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems is an insulating, decorative and protective finish system for exterior walls that can be installed on any type of construction. It is the only exterior wall covering that insulates and provides weather protection in a selection of shapes, colors, and textures that can replicate almost any architectural style or finish material, or stand by itself as an architectural finish. While similar in appearance to stucco, EIFS is an exterior cladding system that consists of components and installation requirements very different from traditional stucco.
The REHAU ECOAIRTM ground-air heat exchange system capitalizes on the relatively constant ground temperatures found 5 to 7 feet (1.5 to 2 meters) below the earth’s surface. Before entering a building’s indoor ventilation system, fresh air is pre-warmed with ground heat in winter, and pre-cooled with cooler ground temperatures in summer. For example, in mid-latitude North America, where ground temperatures are 45°F to 54°F (7°C to 12°C), REHAU ECOAIR can assist in raising the intake air temperature by up to 16°F (9°C) during colder months, and reducing it by up to 29°F (16°C) in the summer.
ENERTILT TILT-UP WALL CONSTRUCTION - Tilt-up technology utilizes innovative building techniques to reduce costs and construction time. With tilt-up, the walls are built horizontally on the structure’s floor slab or casting bed at the job site. The technique requires fewer skilled workers than masonry or precast panels, is faster to install and eliminates the high cost of transportation of precast panels or masonry blocks. After the foundation slab is poured, the wall panels are cast on the floor slab. Each panel is raised into place with a crane and secured by steel braces. The wall panels are connected to the steel structure at the footings, slab and roof line to complete the building process.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the process of generating and managing building data during its life cycle. BIM involves representing a design as objects – vague and undefined, generic or product-specific, solid shapes or void-space oriented (like the shape of a room), that carry their geometry, relations and attributes. BIM design tools allow for extracting different views from a building model for drawing production and other uses. These different views are automatically consistent – in the sense that the objects are all of a consistent size, location, specification – since each object instance is defined only once, just as in reality. Drawing consistency eliminates many errors. Typically it uses three-dimensional, real-time, dynamic building modeling software to increase productivity in building design and construction.
