Abell Pest Control was founded in 1924 by Earl F. Abell. In the beginning, our company was primarily a manufacturer of pesticides, distributing our product in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It did not take long, however, for us to evolve into a service company. We were among the first organizations to recognize the application of pesticides as a valuable public service: the industry of pest management was born. It was during the depression years of the 1930's that the company also recognized the importance of effective and affordable pest management as an instrument of food protection and public health safety.
