The Issue: Concrete slab settlement along an area of walkway with high pedestrian traffic in one of Southern Ontario’s largest retirement communities.  Trip hazards abound in this retirement community along with areas below two sets of concrete stairs where run off water would pool and freeze.  Besides esthetics, these issues were too much of a liability for this community to ignore.
   
The Solution:  POLY-MOR Canada was asked to provide solutions.  This particular job involved injecting our polymer resins directly under the settled concrete slabs quickly filling all voids and effectively lifting the concrete to its proper height.  POLY-MOR Canada employs a state of the art polymer resin that aggressively expands up to twenty times its liquid volume making it very effective in filling voids. These heavy concrete slabs were no match against the lifting forces obtainable from our polymer resins.  Our expanding resins are incredibly effective at providing a long lasting stable base that resists the freeze/thaw cycle and is impermeable to water.
                 
POLY-MOR Canada Inc. inspected this area first to address any questions or concerns prior to the work being done. One very important aspect to our process is that people can walk on the treated areas immediately afterwards.  It was also realized how quick POLY-MOR’s process really is as this project was completed in 4 hours!
